This list is a sneak peek into my personal library of non-fiction, lifestyle and fashion books, which I’ve read and continue to revisit often. The London Hidden Walks trilogy, for example, came in handy during lockdown last year when all we could do was exactly that. I also read A History of Women Put Back In last summer and it was fantastic. I learned a lot and I think it’s a great book, accessible to all, no matter your gender.
Non-fiction and lifestyle books with a sustainable angle
Obviously, I tend to read books with a sustainable angle. I’m particularly interested in topics such as vegan cooking, the mind-body connection and living with less waste. Anything with a positive spin and hopeful message is also welcome, hence why you also can spot some essays about solutions to the climate emergency in my selection.
I haven’t included magazines or newspapers. However, I think a yearly subscription is definitely a great gift too as it keeps on giving. For example Kinfolk, Courier and Suitcase are nice independent magazines to have on your radar.
